I came to bring a sword

Charles Hocker From what I’ve read, it seems as though the liberal progressive member of David Platt‘s congregation were “hurt” that Platt decided to follow Scripture rather than their congregational beliefs. If he kowtows to those whom were “hurt,” I wouldn’t be surprised to see Platt voted out of that church, in the near future. The Church should not be in the business of not hurting peoples feelings.

Yahoo News quotes Platt, “I love every member of this church, and I only want to lead us with God’s Word in a way that transcends political party and position, heals the hurts of racial division and injustice, and honors every man and woman made in the image of God.” Scripture says, “Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword.” (Matthew 10:34). Stop giving into the demands of the world. Lastly, remember that there are ethnic churches who do this kind of thing all the time. There is nothing said about it. We mush be grateful that Pres. Donald J. Trump went to a church on Sunday.
